Not much went on in this holiday, but here are a few highlights. In this episode we visited Blenheim Palace whilst staying at the Caravan & Motorhome Club site in Burford.

Honestly, it was a very quiet week away as we had no children with us and we were able to unwind, relax and do what we wanted to do. All in all a very different holiday and one i would love to do again.

LMS 8F No.48151 seen at Shap Wells and Birkett Common working 'The Dalesman' excursion from Chester to Carlisle and return. The train ran from Chester to Carnforth behind diesel power and the 8F took over for the onward journey over Shap.

It felt like the wheels were falling off our RV! Something was wrong. VERY wrong. This was our experience of the "death wobble" while driving our motorhome, and towing the Jeep.
ℹ️ About this Episode:
It happened on our 5 year anniversary of living on the road full-time. The RV started wobbling like crazy, and we ended up on the side of a busy New York Highway, in the rain. But we didn't find out the cause of the issue until later that evening. The infamous "death wobble" known to occur on several models of Jeep. Ours shook our RV like crazy!

Wir blicken zurück auf das Jahr 2002 - dort fand zum 11. Mal das große Dampflokfest in Dresden statt. Was 1991 im Bahnbetriebswerk Dresden-Altstadt als regionales Loktreffen begann, hat sich zu einer der herausragenden Dampfveranstaltungen in Deutschland gemausert. Herausragender Gast war die Schnellfahrlok 18 201.

Außerdem berichten wir über die Weißeritztalbahn. Auch im sächsischen Schwarzenberg gab es 2002 etwas zu feiern: das 10-jährige Bestehen des Sächsischen Eisenbahn-Vereins, VSE, und das 100-jährige Bestehen des dortigen Lokschuppens.

Bei der Sauschwänzlebahn wurde an Pfingsten 2002 das 25-jährige Jubiläum der Museumsstrecke mit einer Lokparade gefeiert. Auch darüber zeigen wir einen kurzen Beitrag.
