Andy and Dandan Fisher - Steam Around the World: UK - Tornado in a storm !! The North Briton (STABILISED) , 20/7/19

Andy and Dandan Fisher - Steam Around the World
Published on Jul 21, 2019

My original version of this video was so shaky from the extremely high winds that I have re-edited it and attempted to remove some of the shaking. I hope this version is better. Please let me know what you think!!
LNER Class A1 Pacific number 60163 "Tornado" headed The North Briton express from Doncaster to Carlisle.
The train was preceded by Class 86 electric number 86259 (also carries its old number E3137) which was scheduled to head the return working. The electric is rather older than the steam locomotive, being built in 1965, while Tornado was built in 2008 as a replica.
Although very windy, the weather had been generally on our side today. We had sunshine for most of the day. However, for the few minutes when Tornado passed by, we suffered a torrential downpour which made recording rather less than an easy task !!
Recorded on 20th July 2019.
